Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 15, 2026

1. Who We Are and Who This Policy Covers

Stellify Kids is operated by Lorie A. Sprague, a sole proprietor doing business as Galactic English Tutoring in Alabama, United States. This Privacy Policy applies to www.stellifykids.com and the Stellify Kids learning platform, including teacher, parent or guardian, student, and administrator accounts.

Stellify Kids supports children and takes child privacy seriously. Adults who create, authorize, or manage a student account must read this policy and ensure that all required parental or guardian permissions are obtained before the child uses the platform.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the account and features used, we may collect:

  • Adult account information: name, email address, role, password credentials or authentication records, profile details, preferences, and communications with us.
  • Student information: name, date of birth or age, English or academic level, assigned teacher and parent relationships, learning goals, areas for improvement, lesson history, homework, progress, achievements, and account PIN or other login credentials.
  • Learning and classroom content: messages, uploaded materials, whiteboard or activity responses, teacher notes, student work, lesson objectives, and short classroom highlight clips deliberately captured by a teacher.
  • Payment information: subscription and transaction records. Full card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Stellify Kids.
  • Technical information: IP address, device and browser type, approximate location derived from network information, log data, session identifiers, and security or performance events.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide and secure accounts, lessons, live classrooms, co-browsing, homework, progress tracking, and family or teacher dashboards.
  • Personalize age-appropriate learning activities and support educational goals.
  • Process subscriptions, provide support, communicate service notices, and prevent misuse or fraud.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve platform reliability, accessibility, safety, and performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use student information for targeted advertising, and we do not condition a child's participation on providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the learning service.

4. Children’s Privacy and Adult Authorization

A student account for a child under 13 may be created or used only after the child's parent or legal guardian, or a school or teacher acting with legally sufficient authority, has provided any consent required by applicable law. Teachers who add students represent that they have obtained and documented the necessary authorization. A teacher's ordinary classroom relationship alone does not automatically replace parental consent where the law requires it.

Parents and guardians may review the information associated with their child, request corrections, withdraw consent, restrict further collection, or request deletion by using available parent controls or contacting us. We may verify the requester's identity and relationship to the child before acting.

Stellify Kids does not knowingly permit an unauthorized child account. If you believe a child is using the platform without proper authorization, contact us promptly at hello@stellifykids.com.

5. External Curriculum Resources

Stellify Kids may offer teacher resource links to independent curriculum websites, currently including Florentis Learning, Young Learners Curriculum, and Abridge Academy. These providers are not student-account features of Stellify Kids. Teachers must create, pay for, and manage their own personal accounts directly with each provider and follow that provider's terms and privacy policy.

Stellify Kids does not create curriculum-provider accounts for teachers or students, store curriculum-site passwords in the Stellify Kids database, or transmit Stellify Kids student profiles to these curriculum providers. Teachers may open lessons through the classroom co-browser so students can view and interact with activities under teacher supervision.

Teachers must not create student profiles on an external curriculum site or enter student-specific information there. Prohibited information includes a student's name, initials, recognizable nickname, date of birth, exact age, contact or parent information, Stellify Kids credentials or PIN, individually linked level, lesson notes, learning weaknesses, progress or assessment data, messages, photos, recordings, or highlight clips.

As with any website, an external provider may receive technical requests, cookies, and page interactions from the secured remote browser used to display its site. That technical operation is different from Stellify Kids transferring a student's profile. External websites remain responsible for their own content, availability, security, and privacy practices.

6. Service Providers and Limited Disclosures

We use carefully selected service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate Stellify Kids. Depending on the feature, these may include:

  • Floot and its infrastructure providers for hosting, databases, authentication, private storage, email delivery, real-time features, and certain AI routing.
  • Agora for live classroom audio, video, and screen-broadcast services.
  • Hyperbeam for the remote co-browser that displays and enables supervised interaction with third-party lesson websites.
  • Stripe for payment processing and subscription administration.
  • AI model providers, including Google Gemini and providers made available through Floot, when a user invokes an AI-assisted feature.

These providers may process information on our behalf or as needed to deliver their component of the service. We limit access by purpose, configuration, permissions, and contractual safeguards where available. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect a person from harm, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or in connection with a lawful business transfer with appropriate safeguards.

7. Artificial Intelligence Features

Stellify Kids offers AI-assisted lesson planning, activities, reading or writing support, homework suggestions, adventure content, and similar educational tools. Depending on the feature, a prompt may include limited learning context such as a student's first name, age or age band, academic or English level, lesson objectives, general skill needs, or text the student or teacher submits. We aim to minimize this information and avoid unnecessary identifying details.

  • Teachers must review AI-generated material for accuracy, age-appropriateness, bias, and suitability before assigning or presenting it.
  • Users must not enter sensitive personal information into AI prompts unless the feature clearly requires it and appropriate authorization exists.
  • AI outputs are educational aids, not professional, medical, psychological, or legal advice and not a substitute for teacher judgment.
  • Raw classroom highlight clips and full lesson recordings are not sent to an external AI model for highlight processing by default.

8. Live Classrooms, Co-Browsing, and Highlights

Live classroom audio and video are transmitted through authenticated, lesson-specific Agora channels. The Hyperbeam co-browser runs a remote browser session so a teacher and authorized students can interact with the same lesson website inside the classroom. Because the remote browser must process and render the website, co-browsing is encrypted in transit but is not end-to-end encrypted in the strict sense.

Stellify Kids does not record an entire class by default. A teacher may deliberately capture short highlight clips during a lesson. Clips are kept in private storage and are not placed in the student's Highlights area until the teacher approves them. Teachers may delete unapproved clips. Administrator review is not routine, but an administrator may review or remove a clip when it is reported, flagged, selected for a limited compliance check, or raises a privacy, safety, or policy concern. Parents or guardians may request review or removal.

Access to private clips is permission-checked, and playback links are time-limited. Classroom media and stored clips use different security models; stored clips are not end-to-end encrypted because authorized platform services must store and deliver them.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for login, security, preferences, classroom sessions, and reliable platform operation. We do not use student activity for third-party behavioral advertising. External websites opened in the co-browser may use their own cookies within that remote browser session.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls, authenticated lesson channels, encrypted transport, private object storage, and short-lived access links. Live classroom media uses lesson-scoped encryption where configured. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and end-to-end encryption does not apply to every Stellify Kids feature.

Teachers and parents are responsible for protecting their account credentials, using individual accounts, and reporting suspected unauthorized access promptly.

11. Retention, Archiving, and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain safety and security, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and why it is held.

Some dashboard actions archive or deactivate a student or account so records no longer appear in active use; archiving is not the same as permanent deletion. A parent, guardian, teacher, or adult account holder may request permanent deletion by contacting hello@stellifykids.com. We will verify authority, remove or de-identify eligible information from active systems, and retain only information that must be kept for legal, fraud-prevention, security, backup, or transaction-record purposes. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before routine deletion.

12. International Use and Data Transfers

Stellify Kids serves users in more than one country. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.

13. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Parents and guardians may exercise these rights for their children. You may contact us to make a request; we may need to verify identity and authority. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy regulator.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Stellify Kids changes or as legal requirements develop. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how personal information is used or when renewed consent is legally required.
